what is the lexile for a 8th grader. (average)?
Om reading wuthering heights and the lexile is 1,500 and i need to know what the lexile is for an 8th grader. How far above my range is it?
Let’s see… I haven’t used Lexile since my sixth grade. I was a relatively bright reader and my Lexile was about 1,200. I’d say that a fairly average level for an 8th grade student would be around 1,200- 400, but nevertheless don’t let this stop you from reading Wuthering Heights. Lexile is just a level for reading you get based on a test, it doesn’t determine anything - especially what books you ’should’ and ’should not’ be reading.
By the way, Wuthering Heights is great (: Nothing is above your range as long as you try your best.

When I was an 8th grader, my lexile was 1500+, so that book would be easy for me to read.
The average lexile for an 8th grader is 1000-1100, although most students score within the 805-1100 range.
