Back to the Future (1985) IMDB rating: 8.10 Plot: Marty McFly is an aspiring musician, but he is not sure of what the future holds for him; first his band was rejected as the performing band for the school dance, and historically, no McFly has succeeded in anything. The only bright spots in his existence are his girlfriend and Emmett Brown, the town crackpot scientist, who is Marty’s good friend. Marty was helping brown with his latest invention a time machine, which is fitted into a Delorean. The time machine needs a tremendous amount of power to work, which he gets from plutonium. Now Brown got the plutonium from some Libyans who want him to build a bomb; they find Brown and shoot him, Marty gets into the Delorean and drives off and when he reaches the speed of 88 mph that activates the time machine, he finds himself in 1955, cause that was the date that Brown entered, which was when he first conceived the time machine. Now having already used up all the power of the plutonium, Marty must find a way to get it working, so he can go back to his own time. Marty looks for Brown but before he does, he runs into his father as a teenager, and accidentally interferes with his father’s first meeting of Lorraine, his future mother. Marty then goes to see Brown and convinces him that he is from the future and to help him. But when he learns of the amount of power that is needed to power the machine, he tells Marty that it’s hopeless cause the only other thing that can generate that much power is a bolt of lightning and it’s impossible to determine when and where they will strike, but Marty has with him an old newspaper cliping that states that the town clock tower will be struck by lightning, so they plan to draw the energy from the lightning so they can power the machine. But before they do, Marty must act as cupid for his parents cause it seems that because they never met they won’t fall in love and get married and Marty will not exist.

PLEASE HELP ME FIND SECONDARY SOURCE ABOUT SELF DEFENSE?!?!?!?
I am trying to write an analytical research paper for my english class, my first source is a scene from the movie Con Air (1997) and talks about how the main character was justified in his act of self defense where he killed another man whom tried to assult him first. It’s unavoidable that the even-handed but alarming eco-documentary The 11th Hour will be compared to the Al Gore Oscar-winning global warming shocker An Inconvenient Truth, but climate change is only one of the topics the film addresses. In fact, The 11th Hour has much more in common with Godfrey Reggio’s Koyaanisqatsi, the narration-free film that combines stunning cinematography and Philip Glass to paint a picture of "life out of balance," the translation of its Hopi title.
"Life out of balance" would have made a good subtitle for the first feature-length documentary by sisters Leila Conners Petersen and Nadia Conners. With the help of producer and narrator Leonardo DiCaprio, they restate the point Koyaanisqatsi makes wordlessly — only in much more urgent terms and with the science to back it up. Among recent documentaries questioning the status quo (The Corporation, When the Levees Broke, Why We Fight, An Inconvenient Truth, Sicko), The 11th Hour takes the most far-reaching point of view and connects issues into larger patterns, culminating in a truly global call for change.
It’s no secret that the planet is not in good shape. There is widespread scientific agreement that every single bio system on earth is in decline. We’re becoming sickeningly familiar with the litany of impending ecological doom: poisoned oceans, polluted air, retreating forests, depleted soil, dying coral reefs, mass extinction of species, and so forth. Too bad for the environment, eh?

Well, no. The 11th Hour is quick to assure us that the planet will be just fine. Instead, it’s ourselves we should be concerned about. The natural resources that have been fueling our species’ explosive population growth for the past two hundred years are finite, and once they run out or become too contaminated, we will pay the price. Perched precariously on top of the food chain, humanity appears hell-bent on committing suicide.
How on earth did we get here? The 11th Hour takes us through a quick remedial history of humankind, from the birth of life through our evolutionary history to the current moment, when our impact on the ecosystem is threatening our own survival. As one commentator notes, technology or public opinion is not the problem: this is a crisis of leadership. Beholden to the gigantic fossil fuel industry that’s causing many of the problems, politicians and corporations who stand to benefit from the status quo are blocking change. But to hear environmentalists and designers describe the sweeping changes they believe will enable us to save ourselves is a lesson in optimism. A few questions about the US Marine Corps Reserves?
1. About how many deployments should an Infantry Marine in the Reserves expect with a 4 year contract? (How about a 5 year contract? and a 6 year contract?)

2. How hard is it to get one of the following MOS when enlisting in the reserves in Southern California? (0311 Rifleman, 0313 LAV Crewman, and 0331 Machine Gunner)
Also I know it is hard to tell how many deployments but if you could give me an average that would be great.

It’s impossible to tell how many deployments you should expect in a 4 year enlistment, but assuming that you complete basic and SOI within 6 months, you should bet that you will see at least two within 4 years. But, that being said, it all depends on the nations needs.

As far as how hard is it to get the MOS of 0311/0313/0331; they should be fairly easy, especially 0311 and 0331. 0313 depends on what reserve unit you would be reporting too, but basic infantrymen and machine gunners are a dime a dozen.

My advice, score high on the ASVAB and shoot for a better MOS; something that you can use in the real world.

The woman scurried down the street, pressing her bleeding left knee with her slender hand and stealing quick looks behind her. She knew he was following her. After sometime, she glimpsed the light of a far store she quickened her pace towards it. Footsteps emerged behind her. Afraid to turn her eyes from the store, she struggled faster down the street, convincing herself that it was just the sound of her high heels over the asphalt; it was just an illusion.

Spider-Man 2 (2004) IMDB rating: 7.90 Plot: Peter Parker (Tobey McGuire) can’t seem to catch any kind of break. Being Spiderman has brought him nothing but problems as far as his personal life is concerned. Not only that, Mary Jane Watson (Kirsten Dunst) is engaged to astronaut John Jameson, and Peter may lose her forever. Things are so bad for him that he is pushed past his breaking point, so he decides that he doesn’t want to be Spiderman anymore, until a freak accident transforms Dr. Otto Octavius into Dr. Octopus, a super-villian with four metal tentacles coming out of him. Peter realizes that only Spiderman can stop him, but of course, problems arise. Mary Jane gets caught in the middle, and Harry Osborn, who still blames Spiderman for the death of his father, Norman Osborn, also the Green Goblin, wants him dead.
